There's a mobile mechanic that advertises on here and has been known to burn a lot of people.
He will come out take apart your vehicle.
Tell you it needs a certain part and requests the money to go get the part but does not return with the part.
Now you are out the money and your car is in pieces.
If the mechanic asks for money up front you should walk away.
The odds of him returning to finish the repairs are very slim.
He’s going to be looking to take advantage of the fact that you don’t know what’s needed and he does plus you’re without the ability to go get the part and he’s very willing to help you with that.
I’ve had countless calls from people (some crying over the phone) because they gave a mobile technician money and they never returned.
To make things worse, people contact the police, only to find out the hard way that this is not a crime.
They are informed by the police this is a civil matter and they will need to take the mechanic to small claims court.
Don’t get taken advantage of.
