Community Care College seeks a level-one IT Support Assistant to provide quality front-line support utilizing basic technical knowledge to support IT initiatives.
Under the direction of the Network Administrator, assist in computer operations, user and desktop support (hardware and software), and helpdesk support.
Ensure a polite and efficient response, triage, collection of additional information, and communication with employees on service requests.
Assist with installing, setting up, and maintaining technology, including hardware, software, and peripherals.
Candidates with system analyst experience is a strong plus.
This position requires travel between 3 local campuses within a 2 mile radius, using a personal vehicle.
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday days.
Must have a clean background check and drug screen.
Primary Responsibilities
Assists and provides support to the Network Administrator
Collaborating with IT professionals to determine technical solutions
Provides basic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for computer equipment and a basic level of technical assistance to faculty and staff, referring to higher levels of IT support as needed
Explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to faculty and staff
Installs software and installs and repairs hardware and peripherals
Research technical manuals and guides to respond to user questions
Establishes and maintains user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges, and security
Contributes to unit goals by accomplishing related duties as required
Collaborating with IT professionals to determine technical solutions
Promptly answering phone calls and emails
Prepare clear and concise written communications
Must be courteous when handling and resolving complaints

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work in a seated position, standing up, walk, use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment, and speak and listen, both over the phone and in person to fellow employees.
The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
