Position: Environmental, Safety and Health (EHS) Co-op
Primary Location: Tulsa, OK
Schedule: Full time, on site
Reports To: Environmental, Safety and Health Manager
Compensation: $22-29
The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

About This Role and About You This position assists the Environmental, Health and Safety team at the Tulsa, OK plant with their daily activities.
The focus will be Environmental, Health and Safety systems support, hazard recognition and corrective/improvement measures, incident investigation, safety audits, ergonomic observations, process safety review, data collection and entry, procedure review and amendment, and reporting - all with an emphasis on safety.
Qualifications Education: Environmental, Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical engineering student; second or third year preferable Experience: One or more previous work terms preferable Duration: Commitment to 8-or 12-month terms preferable Technical Skills: Proficient in areas of organization, data management, technical writing, environmental, health and safety systems, and computers as expected from technical or engineering students.
Good organization and communication skills.
Responsibilities Understanding, upholding, demonstrating, and improving the Chemtrade safety culture.
Providing Environmental, Health and Safety technical information and assistance to plant operations, engineering, and maintenance functions.
Promotes proactive safety participation by all employees and ensuring injuries, illnesses, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions are reported and investigated.
Interface with site personnel to identify hazards, and to develop and implement corrective/improvement measures.
This could include the review and approval of specific work permits, as well as participation in incident investigation teams, safety audits, design reviews, process safety reviews, project review teams, and/or job task analysis Assist in updating EHS, Industrial Hygiene and other SharePoint documents and procedures.
Assist in or lead EHS projects, including review of software tools for admin and documentation systems and procedures.
Maintains documentation essential to efficient operations of the EHS program.
Develop, organize, and communicate metrics to track EHS performance.
Provide comprehensive and effective EHS training.
Design and implement training to address any gaps identified.
Documenting work done during the co-op work term.
