*Summary: *We are seeking a skilled Application Developer to join our IT team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in various coding languages, with experience in RPG code a plus.
This role involves diving deep into our existing legacy systems, understanding their intricacies, and working under the guidance of a senior developer to maintain, upgrade, and innovate within these frameworks.
Additionally, the candidate should possess experience with C#, SQL, IBM DB2 databases, and API’s.

1.
*Code Development and Maintenance:*
- Develop, test, implement, and maintain application software including.
- Work closely with senior developers to understand and work on legacy systems, particularly those written in RPG.
2.
*Database Management:*
- Manage and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Experience in working with IBM DB2 databases.
3.
*Legacy Systems Management:*
- Analyze, understand, and document existing legacy code.
- Work closely with current developers to migrate legacy reports to Power BI or other new reporting tools.
4.
*Collaboration and Learning:*
- Work collaboratively with IT staff and other departments to understand end-user requirements and build solutions accordingly.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn from senior developers and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
5.
*Quality Assurance and Testing:*
- Conduct rigorous testing of applications to ensure a bug-free and effective solution.
- Document all work for future reference and support.
*Work Hours: *8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday.
Occasional nights or weekends may be required for maintenance, projects, systems updates, or outages.
*Education and/or Experience:*
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in various coding languages, including a niche focus or willingness to learn RPG.
- Experience with SQL and IBM DB2 databases.
- Ability to understand and work with legacy code and systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
*Preferred Experience:*
- Prior experience working with RPG code.
- Experience in a similar industry or with similar systems.
*Special Skills:* Advanced knowledge in programming languages.
Communication and organizational skills, an attention to detail, and the ability to multitask is required.
*Physical Demands:* It is necessary to talk, hear, sit, walk, type, and write and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.
