Responsibilities
Collaborates daily with the development team to provide the best solution to problems.
Under direct supervision, applies functional requirements and uses engineering tools to design electronic circuits and feedback control systems for product changes and new development.
Applies industry standards in design, testing, and evaluation.
Contributes to reliability analysis such as risk assessments and failure mode effects analysis by compiling and examining data.
Identifies the testing requirements at a system level with emphasis on complying with test standards.
Uses software tools or applications to analyze and conduct tests on electronic circuits or systems and document performance in comparison with design criteria.
Identifies the testing objectives at a component level in accordance with Halliburton’s Health, Safety, and Environment procedures and evaluates test results.
Assists in preparing component specifications, follows work processes to document designs, and assists in preparation of material for design reviews.
Collaborates with mentors to understand the basic content required to submit an invention disclosure and recognizes ideas that have IP potential without disclosing confidential information.
Works effectively as a team member by communicating clearly and efficiently to provide innovative solutions.
Takes the initiative to go beyond what situations require and focuses on attention to detail by making sure that work is done correctly, completely, and to the highest standards.
Travel to active well sites will be required.
Support for equipment deployments will be common.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with specialization in control theory preferred.
Experience in simulation and implementation of embedded feedback control algorithms.
Recommended Requirements
Strong theoretical background in control theory
Knowledge of Altium and hardware design/layout
Excellent GPA in core classes
Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
