WE ARE UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT! We are looking for a housekeeping supervisor to oversee the back-of-house operations of our business.
In this role, you will be required to lead a team of housekeeping staff, greet and welcome guests, tend to questions and complaints in a professional and friendly manner, and ensure guest rooms are up to brand standard and ready in a timely manner.
To be a successful housekeeping supervisor you should possess strong leadership skills, time management, and organizational skills.
An excellent housekeeping supervisor will have great attention to detail, and communication skills will lead their team by example, and should provide exceptional customer service.
*Essential Job Skills:* * Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
* Must be able to problem solve and troubleshoot in order to resolve guest issues that may arise and respond to emergency situations.
* Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
* Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
* Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.
*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:* *Responsibilities include but are not limited to:* * Assist with scheduling and room assignments to ensure proper efficiency.
* Monitor performance and recommend disciplinary action in accordance with company rules and policies.
Alert management of potentially serious issues.
* Ensure all staff are appropriately trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their respective job duties.
* Daily inspection of all assigned areas ensures furnishings, guest rooms/suites, equipment, linens, and public areas are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction.
Provide adequate re-training as necessary.
* Daily inspection of rooms to ensure they are clean and ready for incoming guests according to brand standards.
* Daily inspecting storage rooms and room attendant carts and cleaning supplies for neatness, cleanliness, adequate supplies, and good repair.
* Respond to guest complaints, and special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
* Complete all paperwork and closing duties such as updating room status changes, collecting room access keys, preparing work assignments for the following day, etc.
* May perform all necessary housekeeping duties, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning guest rooms to ensure guest satisfaction.
* Must be willing to work overtime without notice as needed to meet job standards.
*REQUIREMENTS:* * A minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality.
* A minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience.
* A minimum of 1 year in a supervisory/management role preferably in hospitality.
* Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
* Must be proficient in Windows operating systems company-approved spreadsheets and word processing.
* Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
* Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
* Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
* Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
*EDUCATION: *High school diploma *PHYSICAL DEMANDS:* * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand; use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
* The employee is frequently required to walk, climb or balance stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
* The employee must regularly lift/push/pull and/or move up to 50 pounds The employee is expected to perform faithfully, industriously, and to the best of their ability, experience, and talent, all the duties that may be required by the express, and implicit terms and to the reasonable satisfaction of the employer.
The employee is expected to execute all necessary job requirements of this position and perform them safely.
