Position Overview:
Navistar has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Project Manager - Automation.
The Lead Project Manager – Automation
Reports to the Senior Maintenance Manager.
In this position you will be responsible for managing or assisting on small to large (mostly automation) projects, assisting where needed to keep production operational which will include electrical troubleshooting.
This is a boot on the floor position, you will spend as much time on the floor as you will in the office.
This position has no direct reports.
Responsibilities:
Managing projects on your own, start to finish
Working with production leaders and operators to get a clear understanding of what is needed for each task/project
AutoCAD design from new or manipulating existing drawings
Electrical troubleshooting from 24VDC to 480VAC during production
Troubleshoot and maintain DC Tools
Program new DC Tools per process requirements
Integrate new DC Tools to MES and error proofing systems
Building a good report with local vendors and contractors to accomplish projects
Work with engineers to analyze plant processes, design and implement improvements
Lead maintenance in control systems troubleshooting
Troubleshooting any aspect of process equipment and machinery (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical)
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
At least 5 years of technical project/program management experience
OR
Master’s degree
At least 3 years of technical project/program management experience
OR
At least 7 years of technical project/program management experience

Desired Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD design
Design, build, and commission control panels that meet NFPA and NEC guidelines
Comfortable working with and troubleshooting voltages from 24VDC to 480VAC using a multimeter
Proficiency in troubleshooting from prints/schematics (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic)
Proficiency with Atlas Copco tool controllers
Proficiency in DC Tool software: ToolsNet, ToolsTalk PowerMAC, ToolsTalk PowerFocus, ToolsTalk 2
Handling multiple projects simultaneously that may include multiple contractors and subcontractors
Present project(s) progress to upper management
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
Program/troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC's including but not limited to SLC, Compact Logix , and Control Logix a plus
Proficiency in RS Logix 500 and 5000 as well as Studio 5000 a plus
Ability to program/troubleshoot Allen Bradley VFD's Powerflex family and ArmorStart family a plus
Fanuc robot troubleshooting and repair experience a plus
