Director, Bank Business Analytics JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for developing business forecasts using financial models, updating assumptions based on changing economic trends, keeping executive management team aware of results, evaluating business opportunities, maintaining P&L's and balance sheet reports, developing bank product strategies, assessing data integrity, utilizing statistical methods to dissect complex business issues, and prepares and delivers presentations to the executive team.
Director, Bank Business Analytics ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES):
* Develops forecasting and new business initiative financial models; includes staying abreast of banking business unit and industry changes.
* Updates assumptions impacting forecasting models in response to economic trends and business unit changes; includes updating and running models and informing executive team of results for strategic planning purposes.
* Performs financial analysis on new business opportunities to determine the resulting economic impact, including the development of theoretically sound forecasts and insights.
* Performs commission calculations for the Bank Retail and Commercial plans as well as auditing as needed.
* Develops and maintains bank line of business management accounting P&L's and balance sheet reports.
* Creates and recommends strategies for banking products and devises business practices to maximize returns and increase efficiency.
* Designs and runs queries to assess the accuracy of large data sets; includes maintaining data integrity in all databases.
* Researches and selects the appropriate statistical methods to dissect complex business problems and formulate suitable solutions.
* Collaborates with cross functional teams to implement product and market strategies.
* Prepares presentations covering complex financial concepts and research results and delivers to non-specialist audience and senior management.
* Exercises awareness with regard to possible suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior and reports any such incidents to the BSA department.
Performs all job functions in compliance with all company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations as applicable to the position, including, but not limited to BSA/AML, OFAC and GLBA/privacy rules.
* Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
* Advanced knowledge of the financial accounting and cash management system modules.
* Advanced understanding of discounted cash flow, time value of money, present value, risk adjusted return on capital, return on capital employed, as well as forecasting and budgeting.
* Highly mature and responsible.

* Proficient in MS Office applications.
* Ability to understand changing economic conditions and the impact to business units.

Equivalent Education/Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
* 10 years of financial analysis and/or model development in a complex multi-dimensional and multi-divisional environment in a Finance department.
* Experience with Statistical Software: Minitab, SpotFire, TI-NSpire, SAS, SPSS
* Financial accounting and management reporting systems experience, especially Spotfire, A3, and Prologue GL
* CFA or CFP preferred.
* MBA preferred.
Director, Bank Business Analytics SPECIAL JOB DIMENSIONS:
Ability to work into the evening hours to complete assignments for the CEO and CFO, as the assignment requires.
