*JOB DESCRIPTION* *Objectives:* To provide the Plant with environmental management of all aspects of environmental performance with respect to applicable Federal, State and Local regulation for the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Emergency Planning Community Right-to-know Act (EPCRA), Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation & Liability Act (CERCLA) and Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA).
*Organization Structure:* This position is responsible for all environmental services within the Plant.
This position reports directly to the Vice-President of Operations.
The position has no direct reports.
*Nature and Scope* * Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
Observes safety regulations and established operational procedures at all times.
Promotes safe practices and efforts throughout the plant.
* Responsible for completing routine environmental reporting requirements and performing environmental monitoring, which includes: National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Discharge Monitoring Reports, Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA) Reports, SARA Form A/R, Title V/Part 70 Air Permit Reporting, Air Emission Statements, Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) Reports, Hazardous Waste Combustor (HWC) MACT and Portland Cement (PC) MACT compliance.
* Responsible for preparing routine air permit applications.
* Responsible for all employee regulatory training as required by Federal and State regulations.
* Responsible for reporting and working with all Plant Departments in correcting instances of nonconformance that may impact the Plant’s regulatory compliance.
* Implements long, medium, and short-term environmental goals and objectives in line with plant objectives.
* Ensure adoption and adherence to regulated plans, standards, and best practices; Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasures (SPCC), and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Planning (SWP3).
* Ensures the management of individual performance.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
*QUALIFICATIONS* * BS degree in engineering preferred, physical science, or environmental related field.
* 5 or more years of work experience in environmental (in a manufacturing or consulting setting), including permitting and compliance experience in Air, Water, & Waste permits * Strong project management skills.
* Very good written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to take initiative based on sound problem solving skills; demonstrated leadership skills via personal standards of conduct, work ethics, teamwork, etc.
* Commitment to the highest standards of safe work habits.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of the National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) for the Portland Cement and Hazardous Waste Combustor Industries a plus.
* Experience in the Cement Industry a plus.
*TULSA PLANT DIMENSIONS* *Manpower:* * 37 Salaried * 79 Hourly *Plant Characteristics:* * 650,000 tons of clinker per year.
* 750,000 tons of cement per year.
* One quarry: Limestone, shale and silica and clay.
* Crushing: 1 gyratory crusher 1,200 tons per hour, 2,350 tons per hour impactors.
* Storage: 25,000 tons clinker, 68,000 tons cement storage.
* Raw Grinding: Two ball mills, 91 tons per hour each.
* Burning: 2 dry kilns, total 2000 tons per day * Finish Grinding: three closed circuit mills, 30/30/50 tons per hour.
* Shipping: cement by truck, and rail.
* Products: two clinker - TI/II low and high alkali, six cements - TI/II low and high alkali, Type III, Type I PM, Mason N, Mortar S, Oil Well C, and Oil Well H.
```Experience``` - Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management or a related field - Strong knowledge of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines and plastics injection molding processes - Mechanical knowledge and understanding of robotics in manufacturing settings - Experience with robot programming, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), root cause analysis, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), and assembly processes - Familiarity with industrial engineering principles and practices Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field - Professional certifications in environmental management or related areas are preferred - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex environmental issues - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment We offer competitive compensation packages including benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, etc.
