Star expanded into the Oklahoma market in 2007 with its flooring sales showroom and serves the region with the same focus on customer service that has made Star Lumber successful for over 80 years.
Our Oklahoma team is seeking a Project Manager to be responsible for managing the flooring installation process for new construction builds in the Tulsa area.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the flooring & tile installation process from initial site readiness to final walk through.
Maintain strong working relationships with builders, general contractors, installers, and Star support teams.
Manage expectations and constraints regarding requests, timing, availability, etc.
Identify solutions and make decisions required to effectively and quickly solve problems to ensure deliver of an on-schedule & quality installation.
Conduct job site visits to monitor progress, conduct inspections, and ensure work quality standards are being met.
Monitor multiple projects, change course direction quickly, while still maintaining on—time, quality work product.
Requirements:
Previous construction project management.
General knowledge of flooring & tile products.
Demonstrate high attention to detail, solid organizational, and effective communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of basic computer and software to include Microsoft and ability to learn internal software programs.
Possess a current drivers’ license.
Preferred Experience
Previous installation or estimating experience with non-flooring products.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
