Community HigherEd is searching for a Director of Education (DOE) for the Community Care College and Oklahoma Technical College campuses.
The purpose of a Director of Education (DOE) is to develop and evaluate the curriculum, teaching procedures, and educational materials within the higher education institution.
The DOE will support program Department Heads in all academic and student functions and provide academic leadership, operational support, and complex administrative support to ensure the delivery of adult education programs.
Provide leadership and oversight for the academic programs, curriculum innovation, program development, and faculty development.
Collaboration and execution of strategic planning and budget development.
Ensure each program's curriculum is up to date and meets accreditation standards.
Ensure compliance with college policies and procedures and all accreditation and regulatory bodies.
Oversee data collection, reports, outcomes, and measures for programs.
A minimum Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is required.
Two years’ experience in administration and/or teaching is required; Higher Education is preferred.
Verifiable experience with faculty credentialing, management, assessment, development, and recognition at the adult level; demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently; experienced at the provision of face-to-face and virtual instruction and/or training.
Experience in a non-profit setting preferred.
This position is a salaried role that will require flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the campuses and provide a presence for both day and evening faculty.
Use of a personal vehicle for frequent travel between local campuses within a 1-mile radius.
Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings/weekends for college events.

Duties/Responsibilities: Provide program development and oversight for college education programs.
Develops, plans, evaluates, and implements goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for educational programs in collaboration with the community and workforce partners.
Oversees data collection, compilation, and analysis and the preparation of various reports and communications.
Work closely with the Campus Director(s) and President on all academic matters in consultation with the faculty.
Maintaining strong, collaborative, professional relationships with faculty, staff, students, and internal and external stakeholders.
Work in conjunction with the Learning Resource Specialist to administer the LMS.
Be committed to improving teaching practices through collaboration with staff, students, community members, and stakeholders, ensure on-campus and online students receive a high-quality education.
Collaborate and execute strategic planning and budget development; provide input on institutional vision and growth.
Conducts classroom evaluations; monitors and reports the progress of new and existing teaching methods.
Identify areas for improvement and provide resources, one-on-one training, and group faculty training.
Assists Program Department Heads and Human Resources with hiring, training, and performance improvement recommendations for faculty.
Evaluate instruction and program operations; collect and analyze a variety of information relating to student success and operational efficiency.
Develop action plans and recommend corresponding program operational changes.
Develops and coordinates strategies in collaboration with internal and external partners to integrate systems of operations to support student success.
Create an environment of Excellence in Customer Service with a focus on Servant Leadership toward students/faculty/staff.
Model the CARES philosophy (Courtesy, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, Success) and Core Values.
Participate in licensing, accreditation processes, and site visits; Be knowledgeable with accreditation compliance agencies such as OBPVS, NATEF, ACCSC, ABHES, etc.
Substitute for a faculty member in the absence of the program Department Head and substitute(s).
Arrange and develop Advisory Board meetings with the Campus Director(s) and the Compliance & Accreditation department.
Work with Department Heads to facilitate new course approvals, textbooks, and funding needed for equipment and supplies.
Work closely with faculty, department heads, and campus directors providing counsel to students; oversee when students are placed on probation, ensure correct paperwork is completed for any corrective action, student expulsion, and/or follow-up as needed.
Monitor student retention in all programs, stay informed of current statistics, evaluate and assist faculty with retention efforts making necessary improvements or changes as needed; work closely with Campus Directors, Admissions, and Compliance in this effort.
Ensure faculty compliance with attendance, grades, and the correct protocol for contacting Leave of Absences (LOA’s).
Be knowledgeable of student support programs and services.
Work on administrative matters in a timely manner.
Demonstrate a non-profit mindset: connect our mission and purpose with our people.
Attend graduation ceremonies and participate in college fundraising events.
Participates in a minimum of two professional developments per year.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
