Supervise the daily drop and count process for electronic games, ticket redemption kiosks, table games and poker.
Ensure the department operates in compliance with Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission (CNGC), National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) and company policies, procedures, and controls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:
Supervises and is responsible for all aspects of the Drop and Count team and processes at assigned property or properties.
Maintains and provides daily reporting to Accounting and Gaming Operations management.
Ensures compliance with CNGC, NIGC regulatory requirements as well as Cherokee Nation Businesses (CNB) and Cherokee Nation Entertainment (CNE) policies and procedures.
Hires, trains, schedules, coaches, writes and delivers corrective action, and manages department personnel.
Reviews monthly accounting entries as well as profit and loss statements for possible corrections and budgetary goals trends.
Coordinates with drop and count Corporate Management and CNGC as to route and timing of drop and count activities.
Ensures proper and efficient functioning of drop and count equipment and make minor adjustments to equipment.
Troubleshoots and, if possible, resolves malfunctions with drop and count related software and hardware.
Maintains vendor relationships.
Ensures the integrity of the uncounted gaming proceeds until accountability is transferred to the Main Vault.
Maintains a safe work environment and ensures safety concerns are identified, addressed, and corrected in a timely manner.
Fosters and maintains a positive work environment.
Promotes teamwork and effective working relationships with peers, subordinates, and other departments.
Tracks and takes appropriate action on non-compliance notifications and other Security and Surveillance reviews.
Manages department within monthly and annual budgetary constraints on a consistent basis with a focus on operating expenses and overtime.
Provides expertise and counsel as needed to counterparts at other CNE properties.
Fills-in for Drop Count Associate based on call-ins, scheduling conflicts, and staffing levels.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
Supervise/manage a department and provide input towards hiring/firing/performance decisions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 1 year of drop and count or previous leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess strong supervision skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be willing and able to be on call and work high volume days (including holidays) and hours.
Must proficiently operate basic office equipment, computer, and basic computer programs utilized in daily operations (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
).
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a CNGC gaming license and/or Oklahoma Horse Racing license.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work involves moderate exposure to second-hand smoke, extreme temperatures, dirt, chemicals, dust, fumes, and loud noise and requires physical exertion during the performance of job duties.
Work is performed while standing, walking, or sitting with occasional need to lift, carry, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel.
Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs.
May be required to travel to other CNE gaming properties.
