Lead Travel Plaza Associate

SUMMARY Under direct supervision the Lead Travel Associate is responsible first and foremost, to meet the needs of the customer.
Responsible for all activity in the store during assigned shift.
Ensures that the store meets company standards and that all employees comply with company policies.
Provides guidance and training to other Clerks.
Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES 1.
Welcomes guests in a friendly manner; maintains superior customer.
2.
Pays attention to preparation, presentation, and quality control of food and beverage area.
3.
Knowledge of all Tobacco products offered.
4.
Responds to customer complaints as necessary and tracks customer requests for new products.
5.
Coaches, counsels and directs the activities of employees in the store on a day-to-day basis, and provides ongoing training.
6.
Operates Point of Sale System.
7.
Performs and assigns stocking or cleaning duties and shares in the responsibility of food preparation, quality control, and presentation.
8.
Opens additional registers when needed in order to provide fast and friendly service to the customer.
9.
Responsible for safeguarding the company’s assets unless physical safety is in jeopardy.
10.
Follows company policies with regard to cash control, proper safe operation.
11.
Follows correct vendor check-in procedures.
Reviews inventory status to avoid over stock or out of stock product.
12.
Completes all end of shift paperwork accurately.
13.
Pays immediate attention to any spill or other hazardous condition.
13.
Ensures merchandising procedures are implemented on a timely basis and displays always include proper pricing and correct signage.
14.
Merchandise should always be fronted; particular attention should be paid to the cooler doors (dairy, beer and other cold drinks).
15.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
