This role leads the Application Engineering department and is responsible for the continual improvement and support of global engineering operations and its teams.
The Application Engineering department captures the global engineering business requirements for HT&P Services and looks at all aspects of the job.
Application Engineering supports all areas of the business including Manufacturing, Pigging, Pre-sales, ETO, and new product development.
Application Engineering manages all internal documents with very close ties with TDW operation, supporting all aspects of the business.
Responsibilities Develops and motivates team (20%) Selects, evaluates, motivates, and develops employees to ensure a qualified workforce necessary to meet company objectives while complying with EEO and Affirmative Action or foreign employment guidelines as applicable.
Sets personal objectives, provides fair and constructive feedback, assesses accurately employee performance, training needs, areas for improvement and possibility of future growth within the organization, and ensures training & development needs are addressed.
Change Management (40%) Works directly with change sponsors, stakeholders and those impacted, understanding goals for the change and translating them into positive impacts to the organization.
Create and implement change management strategies, and training plans Drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization, and greater proficiency of the changes Review training materials to help ensure users have the knowledge and ability necessary to successfully adopt the implemented changes.
Identify people related risks such as performance gaps and/or anticipated points of resistance.
Create and enable reinforcement plans and celebrations of success.
Be culturally aware and emotionally intelligent.
Monitor and increase adoption of TDW Global Engineering Standards Infrastructure Systems (40%) Partners with Strategy Execution Office, Engineering Systems Technical Support, Engineering Directors, Managers, to ensure execution of Engineering Infrastructure Systems strategy, capabilities, and technology Lead the user preparation and participation in requirements-gathering workshops including business goals, processes, decision criteria, and end user requirements Develop and optimize new or updated engineering processes for global consistency Plans, with cross-functional teams, the migration of CAD-CAE and other Engineering data from old systems to new.
Develops requirements for the implementation of CAD-CAE automation and tool enhancements including Design, Development, Testing, Training.
Stays appraised of developments in CAD-CAE technology and industry; identifies opportunities for TDW appropriate implementation; Working with regional “super users,” provides support for CAD-CAE users, interfacing with support vendors and IT, Authors CAD-CAE documentation pertaining to system design, configuration, process management, best practices and training Leads or assists efforts to design/develop workflows and/or internal standards for Engineering processes, Identify, define and communicate the benefits and outcomes of improved and new processes Education and Experience Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA preferred, Minimum 7 years of proven technical program management, project management, and/or change management, including past experience working with technical engineering teams, Ability to identify critical path items in complex projects, Superior communication skills and proven ability to influence people at all levels in an organization, Strong problem-solving and creative innovation leadership skills with experience questioning status quo and proven experience improving work strategies, Possess strong ability to exercise sound judgment in making technical decisions, Previously demonstrated ability to organize, lead, challenge, inspire, and develop people, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Travel may include global trips, up to 25%.
