Role and Responsibilities
Reviewing applications and performing interviews of potential hires and the training of new employees is time consuming, so this duty is typically delegated to the assistant kitchen manager.
Another key task is ensuring refrigeration temperatures, general cleanliness and safety of the kitchen an nearby areas.
Paperwork duties include reports an possibly cash management at the end each day.
And of course, whenever the kitchen manager is not present, the assistant is expected to step-in and perform management duties as required.
Order materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand.
Supervise kitchen employees and organize food orders.
Oversee the food preparation and cooking process.
Recruit and train kitchen employees in designated stations.
Store all food products in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Basic Math and Reading, Computer and POS Knowledge, Ability to lift 40lbs.
3 years of Kitchen Experience
Preferred Skills
To Have Knowledge of all Temperatures and Serving Temperatures.
Communication skills, ability to get along with a wide variety of personalities.
Ability to assert yourself, ability to delegate responsibility.
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Additional Notes
Requires Tulsa County Food Handler’s Permit, Reliable transportation a must.
Additionally, applicants should be available to work weekends and late-night shifts and weekends.
