Responsibilities The Sr.
Director of international Distribution and Operations is responsible for leading the development and continuous improvement of procedures and daily operations of International product distribution and operations.
Under the direction of VP Operations and the SVP International Business this position is responsible for developing and directing the business operations and supporting processes that align with the strategic vision of the International business unit.
In collaboration with Marketing, Product Development, Field Operations, Client Services and Science will oversee the development of a customer service plan for markets in the International Business unit, while working with the US market to centralized processes when appropriate.
Responsible for facilitating, leading communication, and working with an internal cross functional team involving marketing, product development, finance, business technology, project management, training, customer service, legal, RQIP and communications to provide the continuous improvement to International product distribution and business operations.
Manages the entirety of International’s Distribution and Operations programs through Distributors and fulfillment service providers ensuring all aspects of customer’s orders are processed promptly and accurately.
Leads continuous improvement initiatives by building and maintaining procedures for the timely and cost-efficient distribution of International Products.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to manage shipping and receiving, quote and order management while monitoring status and development of International products.
Manages relationship and business processes with Distributors and Providers including Customer Service and Collections.
Serves as the Association’s HBS liaison for our International Distributors ensuring orders are processed promptly and accurately.
Works with various distributors to improve all processes for the Association, distributor and customers.
Reviews, enhances, and monitors all processes associated with direct and indirect Association customer and distributor orders to ensure they are accurately captured, reported on, invoiced, collected and delivered.
Collaborates with HBS and International Marketing to evaluate pricing, discounts, and rebate schedules to maximize revenue, surplus while increasing market penetration of International products.
Maintains cross functional communication within the Association to address issues and has regular communications with International distributors and Providers.
Manages a team of staff and effectively negotiates on the Association’s behalf with vendors and Distributors which includes contract management.
Collaborates on the development and manages the budget supporting the Association’s Distribution and International’s processes and programs.
Works with international staff to enhance processes for international distribution and business operations.
Participate in cross-functional teams to develop technology solutions both domestically and internationally.
Maintain oversight of Atlas implementation both domestically and internationally.
Take a leadership role in managing the global invoicing system.
Liaisons with HBS & International Finance to manage revenue, revenue reclassifications, and process documentation.
Collaborates and consults with International Leadership in goal setting and budget management.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Eight (8) to Twelve (12) years of experience.
Degree in a business related field or equivalent business related experience specifically in managing and/or working with Distribution channels and business Operations.
Experience working with budgeting, goal development, forecasting and process development.
Basic to advanced understanding of accounting and budgeting concepts.
Experience working with international markets establishing offices, distribution, business processes, international finance/accounting guidelines.
Strong multi-program computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Access and MS PowerPoint.
Moderate to advanced understanding of technology and how it interacts with various business units, customers, vendors and government entities.
Ability to travel up to 20% domestic and international travel.
Preferred Experience: Printer, warehouse, and distribution management.
Experience in contract preparation (business side.
Developing processes to improve efficiencies, documenting the processes.
