JOB SUMMARY Job Profile Summary This position is responsible for the supervision of pipeline movement of refined products in ONEOK’S pipeline systems.
Oversees the activities of the product inventory product movements, and allocations procedures for the department to ensure product distribution which equitably serves the shippers and provides the most efficient use of the company's assets.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Develops departmental procedures, conducts meetings, manages employee hiring process, develops or updates job profiles in collaboration with Human Resources; manages team performance; trains or provides for adequate training for employees; coaches, counsels, and motivates employees; investigates complaints or performance concerns; communicates job and performance expectations; implements corrective action as needed and in consultation with Human Resources.
Formulates and executes development and cross training plan for team members for PTO coverage.
The supervisor is expected to have the capability and knowledge to daily schedule all areas they supervise so they can back up the roles desk in the event other team members are not available to provide PTO coverage, coverage during employee transition or when team members are given special assignments.
Collaborates with other internal departments and stakeholders on current projects and potential projects ensuring that inventory concerns/issues are addressed.
This job requires complex analysis, a comprehensive understanding of system assets, published tariffs and internal stakeholder groups that are impacted by the schedule (e.
g.
, power, ops control, operations), and independent judgment.
Establishes emergency plans and is on-call 24/7/365 to respond to emergencies.
This job requires the ability to make real time, quick decisions that could have large financial impact to the Company and to customers.
Maintain and enhance relationships with Shippers and Inventory Owners in order to capture new and existing growth opportunities.
Identify, develop, and implement business optimization initiatives.
This position is a hybrid to our corporate office in Tulsa, OK.
Supervises the development of system wide pipeline shipping schedules to maximize Magellan's distribution system.
Monitors the system inventory position and provides direction to optimize throughput and enhance revenue generation.
Manages the refined product nomination process to assure maximum throughput and accurate ticketing.
Ensures that Inventory Owners and Suppliers have access to our system and can conduct their business in a manner that is fair to everyone.
Supervises the work activities of Product Inventory and Product Movement staff.
Maintains customer relationships by providing excellent customer service.
Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement business optimization initiatives.
Provides account managers subject matter expertise related to the pipeline systems that allows decisions to be made on potential new projects/opportunities and to ensure that integration of new assets/connections are completed on time.
Education A Bachelor's degree is preferred, as well as a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience (desirable experience includes; Operations, Scheduling, and Commercial).
