John Crane in Tulsa has a current need for a Project Manager.
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating tasks that may fall into categories such as technical design, testing, assembly, & manufacturing.
The main objective is to lead and manage complex product manufacturing projects to meet divisional strategic and financial goals.
This will be a hybrid role but must live in the Tulsa Oklahoma area.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead multiple NPI programs & projects based on the right level of project governance and control procedures
Set project goals and objectives and align them with rest of the project team and key stakeholders
Create project scope baseline and continuously manage project scope
Lead and manage all key NPI activities to support critical deliverables such as project kickoffs, Stage Gate transitions, and project closures
Develop detailed project plan and get commitment from the task owners
Deliver outcomes against agreed project baseline i.
e.
scope, cost and schedule
Track, control, and report schedule & cost variances and plans to get back on track
Proactively identify and quantify risks; develop mitigation plans to reduce, avoid, or transfer risks
Continuously evaluate team performance and escalate issues that risk project progress
Prepare and lead regular project status meetings, prepare weekly reports, and presentations Take ownership of internal and external deadlines and drive issues to resolution
Communicate, align, and drive results via cross-functional teams
Develop, implement, and continuously improve standard PM tools and standard NPD and Stage Gate processes in compliance with the NPD PM Process.
Ensure coherent application in all Regions Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations

The Individual
BS Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineer
Minimum of 5 years direct experience in Project Management
Experience in product design and development, with understanding of concepts such as Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and First Article Inspection (FAI)
Demonstrated project and people leadership skills with emphasis on soft skills such collaboration & influencing
Demonstrated experience with project management tools and processes
Training in Lean Manufacturing and/or Black Belt certified
Able to handle multiple projects in parallel of varying size, scope, and complexity
