General Summary of Duties
The Director, Revenue Cycle is responsible for Manager oversight to ensure supervising and coordinating aspects of the revenue cycle including training, internal auditing, billing, claims production, collections, productivity, performance reporting and new ASC transitions.
This position reports to the Sr.
Director of Revenue Cycle.
Essential Functions
Pre-Service Collection activities to ensure all patient demographic, authorization and insurance verification efforts result in clean claim submission reducing insurance denials.
Vendor management, ensuring the fostering of professional relationships, clear communication to prevent, reduce or resolve any concerns related to the product instillation and roll out.
Ongoing vendor product audit.
Manages a team of which can be 10+ Managers and employees, with direct oversight of A/R procedures and polices including the efficiency of follow and processing customer service and accounts receivable, billing, collections and payment posting.
Responsible for data input, update, data integrity, and supervisor of A/R reports.
Communications directly with patients/clients, referral sources, and insurance agencies, when appropriate, handling any questions or problems that may arise regarding reimbursement.
Collaborates and coaches Managers to ensure the performance of the duties of the account receivable personnel as listed on that job description and monitors billers’ productivity and collection efforts.
Mentors and trains staff and recognize opportunities for team building.
KPI reporting and analysis, the Director is accountable to identify problems on claim denials and ensure efficient resolution, including implementing and educating lessons learned.
