Position Summary:
The Admissions Manager is responsible for coordinating effective, efficient admission/intake process for all patients.
As an Admission Manager, you will act as first point of contact for the admission representatives and receptionist by providing guidance and overall support for daily workflow.
In collaboration with the Director of Business Development (DBD), you will manage day-to-day admission operations while adhering to best practices and maintaining company core values.
Daily Responsibilities:
Assist in leading daily census and hospital metrics in team meetings
Build and maintain relationships with local insurance payers, maintain current/up to day knowledge of payer contract and preferences
Assist Director of Business Development with admission audits and pulls data correctly for team education
Assist with day-to-day tasks related to admissions, billing, and authorization submission, and provides training for new hires in collaboration with the Director of Business Development.
Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree
Two years experience in rehabilitation or closely related field.
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with insurance products, payors, and pre-authorization
Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements
Clinical knowledge in an acute care setting
