Supervisor Warehouse

$60K - $70K Depending on Experience The primary objective of this position is to maintain inventory and operating supplies for the continual operation of the plant.
purchase goods and services, develop effective relationships with new and existing customers.
The incumbent also is to ensure that plant store and stock inventories are being maintained with efficient control.
Nature and Scope Supervise and direct storeroom operations.
Ensure the replenishment and availability of maintenance, repair and operating inventory and supplies.
Assist the Purchasing Manager in procuring inventory and operating supplies.
Work with other departments to ensure that inventory records are accurate.
Ensure that the inventory is maintained with sufficient descriptions, groupings, physical locations, proper minimum/maximum levels, updated technical specifications, etc.
Ensure that the inventory is physically stored in an organized manner and is properly marked and identified.
Work closely with other departments regarding present and upcoming requirements.
Work with other departments to identify surplus and obsolete inventory.
Work with the Purchasing Manager and suppliers to develop inventory return programs and surplus sales.
Work to significantly reduce and minimize the amount of inventory investment necessary to adequately meet plant requirements.
Work with the Purchasing Manager and suppliers to develop supplier managed inventory programs for targeted commodities.
Ensure that purchasing and inventory transactions are performed in a correct, accurate and timely manner.
Ensure that requestors are notified when requested material is received, or direct delivery of material to the requestor.
Other duties as assigned.

A in Supply Chain Extensive knowledge of parts and materials used in plant operation.
Extensive knowledge of proper storeroom practices and operations.
Ability to supervise and direct Storekeeper and assigned Utility personnel.
Ability to communicate and work closely with other departments.
Ability to utilize ERP and/or other computer systems.
